In a sense, I actually agree with you. I know people who work in environments where despite their best efforts, despite their perfect record of attendance, they are continually harangued by out-of-touch, autocratic management who place targets and figures ahead of the dignity and happiness of their employees.
For too long, workers have had to deal with this maltreatment. And, worse than that, deal with the rudness and aggression of members of the public. A public who can shout, scream and ridicule at a worker safe in the knowledge that they do so with impunity because "the customer is always right".
And people like myself, who work in the industrial sector, have seen the cronyism and abuse of power that runs rampant. Managers physically assaulting their staff, covering up various health violations to avoid legal reprisals, continual attacks on our privacy.
The system is disgusting, the workers are encouraged to rise through the ranks so they can better oppress and demean their fellows.
