really? I mean I'm not an avid fan of Obama right now, but really? Your a drone to the republican bullshit that's spewed in your face. Both sides are usually in the wrong, but Obama isn't like Bush. He's done stupid ass shit, but he's not like Bush. Right now, both republicans and democrats should shut the fuck up and get out of Iraq. However, if you don't think militaristic wise that we didn't need to be in that area of the world when Iran has nuclear power, you're stupid. I don't agree with how our country does things and I don't agree with innocent people dying, but sometimes you idealistic people should think. Think before you speak because you're ALIVE right now because of those stupid politics and the leader of the nation (Obama) and a lot of other people. I'm not saying they're right in how they do it, but I'd sure as hell rather be alive and able to argue about it like this than be dead because I opted for a peaceful government. It's just not possible. I would love for the world to be free and love everyone, but that's never going to happen.
Also, socialism, communism, and fascism are all forms of collectivism. The only difference between them is that communism and socialism call for the means of production to be owned and controlled by "the people" at large. Fascism calls for the means of production to be controlled by the government (claiming to speak for "the people"), but owned (as in, putting in the work running the business and taking the consequences if things fail) by the business owners (essentially, when things go good, politicians win. When they go bad, the business owners lose).
Ah the old agument by name [link] The german right wing used the term social and socialist in their name to try and draw the german working class away from the social democratic and communist parties.
Fascism doesn't "calls for the means of production to be controlled by the government" Fascist ecomonics are based around what they call corporatism, were business and state collaborate with each other to further each others power, they call it a "third position" not socialist or capitalist, mostly that is rhetoric. Also ecomonics not an important part of fascism, fascism main components are nationalism, authoritarianism and strong Militarism, ecomonics only really come into play when they take power.
Actually the NSDAP was origianally a socialist-facist hybrid. It is what allowed them to gain majority in the Reichstag. of course once Hitler gained majority he did away with the Socialist/Communist element of the party, as he veiwed them as a liability.
When commenting on pushing into Iraq bush started justifying doing so in the name of jesus. That right there puts him at the top of my shit list. I dont care for Obama myself, however justifying anything in the name of a god or religious figure is down right retarded.
Where did you get information that Bush declared war on Iraq for Jesus? He did it to defend a strategic ally (Kuwait, First Gulf War) and to destroy WMD's (officially, Second Gulf War, Invasion of Iraq).
Could you please post a link of the source you got your information from?
Yes, you did. "When commenting on pushing into Iraq bush started justifying doing so in the name of Jesus" You said he justified it invading Iraq because of Jesus. Excuse me for paraphrasing your words.
And there is no actual quote, just what several Middle Eastern Politicians say. With no actual offical quote given by a reliable source.
And I reject your allegation I twisted your words, I merely paraphrased what you said. I am also an English Major so unless there is a critical problem with the Australian education system then I am fine.
A justification is not a declaration, you can however justify something you have declared. I do love how people claim they have some profession or masters or even so much as a major in something as a defence online. It's no different then saying "I am a 250 pound body building pornstar with a masters in theoretical quantum physics and Im personal friends with socrates" for an english major to mistake justification for declaration is laughable at best.
a declaration is to do say "I'm committing an act" a justification is to say "I have done this act for these reasons which make it ok" but keep up the schoolwork.
You have not actually adressed what I said in full. There is no quote sourced from anywhere that is viable. The only refernece I found to it was that he, according to the head of the Palestinian government, declared the war because god told him to do it. that's it. nothing more or less. Send me another source please with the actual quote from the Man himself and then I will believe you.
People say stuff like, "the only ones who are worried about drones are terrorists!" "Who's willing to bet that in 5 years, all this fear-mongering (or Alarmism, rabblerousing, or whatever) will end?" "We do not talk Politics, Religion, or Sex." "I don't want to hear it, and even your peers told you to shut up." "The government has not, nor will they ever kill their own citizens." (Doesn't say anything, just make that "yapyapyap" movement with their hand.) "GOODBYE, *namewitheld*
In short, God could say the truth, straight in their faces, and they would STILL call BS.
You say that but Obama has ordered more drone strikes then Bush did, kept his wars going bombed Libya and sending weapons to Syria, looking to attack Iran and stepped up domestic poliy against protest Obama is bush in everyway, he's just more articulate the Duby.
