Actually US interests fund and support the majority of "terrorists". A base near where I live has a large opium and heroine trading ring along with trafficking weapons from the Middle East to the Mexican drug cartels.
All the while we are building a Gestapo, propping up the illusion that we have military supremacy even though we don't have the numbers, training, technology or equipment to fight a real war against a real threat.
All the while our president is antagonizing the Russians while the country is being taken piece by piece by China who is a legitimate threat to the country. They have the ability to put 30,000,000 troops in uniform within a month and is very interested in retaining the assets and debt it has accumulated. They would rather not resort to force, but they are capable of resorting and maintaining a state of war that is unprecedented by any other entity.
well there's a bad guy in who has the poetical to case a lot of damage, but I bet a hand grenade costs like $10 and a soldiers hour costs like $10 and the plan ticket is like $500 soo... I see your point.
They wouldn't use a $50,000 bomb to destroy a single tent. Truth be told if the tent protected something that needed to be hit they'd probably use a Hellfire missile, which are still like $10,000. More than likely, though, they'd be targeting a vehicle which a Hellfire was designed for. If a tent really was the target it's more likely to be a camp full of tents in which case they'd task a completely different type of weapon for the attack. If it was the personnel in a single isolated tent they'd probably send special forces of some sort in case a prisoner could be taken.
I disagree. The amounts in the Picture aren't important to the Point at all. All that matters is the large difference between them. Who cares if the bomb cost 10k or 50k, or the tent cost 1$ or 50$. The message of the Picture would not change no matter the numbers.
So based on what the message of the Picture is, and the rethoric used, your comment is indeed invalid.
The point I'm making is they're trying to kill a human being who's death probably has a high value to the war effort so the costs of the weapons compared to the cost of the object the weapon is actually being pointed at is irrelevant.
Also, you're the third person blocked today. Feel "special."
...or because the person inside was the target not the tent.
Seriously, are you stupid or something? I means seriously short bus, drooling on your keyboard stupid. I consider myself liberal, but actually thinking this picture makes sense you pretty much come across as stupid.
well...what are the pilots thinking? Pilots: LOOK A TENT! LETS BOMB IT! General Pilot: DONT WASTE YOUR BOMBS DAMN IT! THEY ARE TOO EX- *pilots drop the bomb on the tent* General Pilot: YOU STUPID IDIOTS! *the bomb hits the tent and triggers a newly discovered atom bomb* Pilots: OH FU- ...what do they expect to b low up, a nuke or something? VERY FUNNY though good work
Oh the horror of waisting so so much money on that tent. Why can't we just send troops in first, troops are so much cheaper to send in. So what if maybe half a platoon dies trying to get there, we'll save millions!!!
Not really. Human life IS very cheap. People breed all the time. Every life lost will simply be replaced. It's a simple fact. Perhaps, dear friend, you should look to yourself and look at the kind of man who would use petty sentiment to insult a stranger over the internet. Because sentiment is your only justification for valuing human life. Bombings, massacres, what do they really mean? We lose a few humans, more are born, more die, more are born, more die, more are born. A cheap, constantly replenished commodity. Nothing more, nothing less.
People DO act like that. They move on, they forget. Humans are replaceable. Take for example these American school shootings, do you think anyone writing 'RIP' will honestly remember the killings in a year? Do you think all those dead children even cost them a nights sleep? Life means nothing because the concept of life itself can never be extinguished. It is a constant, we die but others live, our species may die but the planet will live, the planet may die but other planets will live on.Can you therefore see the childishness in this pining? The absurdity of this moralising and hand-wringing? None of it means a thing.
And yes, you should plan to apologise. Because you insulted me without cause. You called me a fool with no provocation. Have I insulted you, my friend? Have I slandered you? No. I have been perfectly polite. Therefore I really must insist upon a apology.
Ok. I apologize for calling you a fool for no reason. But I still think and will always think that human life is worthy. ... Those shootings. Most of people that write "RIP" are just caught in the wave. Majority of them don't even comprehend what happened. And those people don't really matter. Those killings don't matter either.... to us. But their families. I believe that family of every single of those kids would give EVERYTHING just to have them back.
Yes, the families would. But sooner or later those families will die away and the names of the children they now mourn will fade into history, as will the names of their murderer. The names of those killed by American bombs will become nothing more than numbers next to a date in future history books. And, in all likelihood, both you and I will leave behind nothing more meaningful than an inscription on a slab of stone.
Yet the species survives! You see my point? The individual doesn't matter, and sporadic cases of violence shouldn't make us upset, the species lives on. No matter what evil befalls our children or what atrocities our leaders engage in. Every dead human will be replaced tenfold.
