In the UK, we have an election coming up on June 8th. The ruling Conservative party has released their manifesto. This policy is among them;

We as users of the Internet are letting this happen. This no longer just affects Britain, this is a declaration of war against the Internet as a whole.
I have seen the people of the Internet accomplish incredible feats when faced with such tyrannical legislation on a global scale. Time and again, the Internet has rallied together to expose and fight against the ever-increasing attacks on its Freedom of Expression, with naught but each other to push back against forces much richer and more powerful than we can collectively comprehend.
In the face of this latest attack, we need to return to the battlefield. The people of Britain are ignorant and complacent. They will not fight this. Regardless of how you think of our ugly little nation, it is up to all those who will be targetted and affected by this law to stand up in the British people's place.
We cannot let this happen. Stand up.
