Imperialism is a path all Super Powers follow from Rome to the British to the USSR and US and now China and I'm sure eventually India. Personally I think the best way to solve this is by having smaller nations with more direct democracy, or even totally removing the nation state and every city, town and village having its own democratic leader and true direct democracy.

If we get Romney we'll pay $200 plus extra for Chinese made goods, if we get Mr. Obama, he'll keep authorizing the killing of innocent Pakistanis with drone strikes.
What pisses me off, the communist party is urging us to vote for Obama, when he is no better than his opponent.

Wow, that's a really compelling argument... Completely unsupported and totally falsifiable, of course, but if I were, say, a preschooler I suppose I might find it compelling.
